Better Body Lab respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Data Controller

The data controller is Better Body Lab Ltd, a UK sole trader trading as Better Body Lab. You can contact us at hello@betterbodylab.co.uk for any privacy-related enquiry.

What we collect

  • Order data: name, email, delivery address, phone (optional), order contents and total.
  • Account data: email and password hash if you create an admin or customer account.
  • Communications: messages you send via our contact form or by email.
  • Technical: minimal essential cookies (age-gate confirmation, cart contents). No third-party analytics or marketing trackers.

Payment is by UK bank transfer only. We do not accept card payments and never handle card details.

Lawful basis

  • Contract: to process and dispatch your order and provide support.
  • Legal obligation: to retain order and tax records as required by HMRC.
  • Legitimate interest: to keep the website secure and to respond to enquiries.

How long we keep it

Order and invoice records are retained for 6 years after the end of the tax year in which the transaction occurred, in line with HMRC requirements. Contact-form messages are kept for up to 24 months. Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted on request.

Who we share data with

  • Our bank — to receive your payment by bank transfer.
  • Royal Mail / DPD — to deliver your order.
  • Hosting & infrastructure (Lovable / Supabase / Cloudflare) — to operate this website.

We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for marketing.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Have inaccurate data corrected.
  • Request erasure (subject to our legal retention obligations).
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Request data portability.
